For our preliminary, we designed a storyboard in which had the shots planned out singley, we wrote it out baring in mind what shots we thought would work well. Moreover, we discovered where we were going to shoot by looking around the school for various appropriate settings. We decided on the certain corridoor, stair case and classroom because we found the natural lighting affective in these areas and the space provided enough room for us while filming. We took the camera to our chosen settings and stood at various points on these settings to see which shots could be used and to decide where we could position the camera to capture the most affective shots when we came to film. We had planned for the face of the protagonist (Amy) to not be revealed untill entering the classroom to build tension and humour when the face is finally shown. To do this, we applied makeup to Amy's face including mascara over her eyebrows, red lipstick on her lips and smudged onto her teeth and a beauty spot using eyeliner. We done this to enhance the affect of the character.
