Title of our Thriller

The title of a film is one of the most important factors as it can make or break a film. The title is the first thing the audience reads before making the decision whether to see the film therefore it needs to give great impact catching the audience’s attention.

From research i have found one worded titles are very effective as they are short and sharp immediately grabbing your attention. From example titles such as 'TAKEN', 'Orphan', 'Creep' and 'Boo' are very recognizable and people remember them. Also all of these films have been extremely successful.
Furthermore, other titles of well-known thriller such as, ‘Blood creek’, ‘The omen’ and ‘Lake dead’, have two word but they are equally effective as they are blunt and short giving them meaning therefore people are able to remember them.
Moreover, some titles or thrillers have more than two words for example, ‘Nightmare on Elm Street’. Though using words such as ‘nightmare’ give the film effect as people see that word and identify the film as a thriller and are intrigued about what happens resulting in them watching the film.
