Influences

The idea we have been thinking about using for our thriller is a young girl being taken from a park. What have been looking at all sort of thrillers would could get ideas from in order to make our thriller as best as it can be. For example, the film 'Taken' has influenced us as it has something to do with someone young being taken and the affect it has on the family. We thought that by using someone young being taken the audience are more sympathetic towards them making the film more 'thrilling'.

Another way in which we have been influenced is by the film 'Orphan'. It wasn't so much the storyline that we liked, we liked the way the young girl was represented in the poster and in the film. By wearing a small skitt and the colours of red, blue, white and black. We like the idea of having the girl having dark hair for the reason that it is more mysterious and bunchies to make her look younger.

Also, we liked 'Flight Plan'. This was more to do with the fact that the little girl is a normal girl with her mother and hasn't got anything to do with the story as much. We also liked the idea of the mother not giving up on her child though people on the plane tell her its her fault. We also liked the idea of the poster not being your typical thriller poster. It gives the audience an un-expected suprise when it comes to watching the film which is something we would like to portray through our poster.

Another film and poster we have been looking at is 'The Omen'. We like the idea of the little boy in the swing with the foggy background and the woods. The boy also has dark hair which we are quite set on having for our thriller and the shadowing of the writing. We also liked the idea of the black dog and the small black font behind the boys head.
